WIN A Ticket To Doc B’s Planty Night!

One-Part-Plant-Doc-B

I first got to know Alexis Cozzini at the For Reals Meals that Boutique Bites hosted. After the lunch, she signed up for a Master Plant, and we got to know each other even better. After feeling awesome changes from her new diet, she asked if she could host her own For Reals Meals. Um, yeah! But Alexis wasn’t thinking small. She went and asked Doc B’s Fresh Kitchen to go entirely plant-based for one night…and they said YES!

Executive Chef Ed McIntosh has created a pretty insane menu. In addition to their famous House-made veggie burger and Tangled noodle salad, new menu items will include: House-made guacamole served with herbed vegetable chips, Summer rolls with a peanut dipping sauce, Grilled artichokes with a roasted red pepper puree and an olive tapenade, Arugala pomelo salad, and Rosemary lentil wild rice pilaf. WOW!

Doc-B's-Vegan

I’m so excited about this night that I want to give away a ticket to join me and Alexis on February 20th!
To enter, tell me which menu item you’re most excited about in the comments below. I will announce the winner next Tuesday. If you don’t live in Chicago, you can still win it for a friend!

Tickets to the event are $40 and includes the full menu above and a glass of prosecco or hibiscus infused tea. You can purchase tickets here. I will be there all night stuffing my face – so make sure to come over and say hi!

I’m most excited about the veggie burger. It might sound borning, but as a vegan it’s really hard to find a good house made veggie burger. I always get so excited when I see them on menus at traditional restaurants, and then find out they have egg. This one sounds awesome. Also, so do the salads!

Right?! Always have the extra egg. Doc B’s veggie burger is SOOO good. Thanks for entering!

Kat makes a great point about the veggie burger, and I know that roasted red pepper puree is going to transport those artichokes well beyond the Magical California experience to which they have the power to transport us, but come on now, a new house-made guacamole from Chef Ed McIntosh? With spring coming, then summer, Guacamole is about to become one of the four major food groups in Chicago, and you know Chef Ed’s not going to turn out an ordinary guac. I’m excited to discover the special quality of this guacamole. (Not that I’m not excited about Arugala pomelo salad, and Rosemary lentil wild rice pilaf. This event’s going to be amazing!)
